U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
The SBA’s website is a great resource if you are in either the early or established stages of your entrepreneurial venture. The SBA offers online webinars on various subjects and an informational blog that has articles pertaining to all sorts of business ventures.
LegalCORPS assists local business owners and nonprofit organizations by offering a monthly clinic where clients can sign up to receive a 30 minute session to discuss a business related topic of their choice via video conference with a licensed attorney at no cost.
MN-SBIR assists technology-based entrepreneurs and innovators access federal funding through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs.
Using market identification, registration assistance, contracting regulations/compliance assistance and on-going technical support, MN PTAC helps businesses navigate through the complicated intricacies of obtaining federal, state, and local government contracts.
Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (MN DEED)
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is the state's principal economic development agency. DEED programs promote business recruitment, expansion, and retention; international trade; workforce development; and community development.
Internal Revenue Service
The Internal Revenue Service's website offers a lot of resources including educational Webinars for Small Businesses, Tax Scams/Consumer Alerts, IRS Tax Tips ranging in different topics, IRS Statements and Announcements, and an informative e-Newsletter.
