Additional Assistance for Business Owners

CED partners with various programs and organizations to offer additional programs that assist current and aspiring business owners.

Economic Gardening: This program is offered to NE MN and NW WI area businesses. Selected businesses will interact with the National Strategic Research Team (NSRT) who will deliver research tailored to each business’s agreed upon issues.

FDIC Money Smart for Small Business: The Money Smart for Small Business is a series of 11 online learning modules focused on financial literacy created by the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

LegalCORPS: This program assists small business and nonprofits with pro-bono legal services. CED coordinates a monthly clinic for clients to have a 30-minute session via video chat with an attorney at no charge.

Profit Mastery: This two-day workshop covers business financial tools such as how to manage a balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Participants dive into their financials and learn how to improve cash flow, make better financial decisions, and create a plan to be more efficient and grow the business.
